DRC WEEK AT UNIVERSAL EXPO 2025 OSAKA IN JAPAN: BUSINESS FORUM DRC- JAPAN INVEST IN DRC

Prime Minister Judith Suminwa invites Japanese investors to come and do business in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is full of enormous opportunities in several sectors including trade, agroindustry, mining, transport, infrastructure, technology and culture, in a win-win partnership, because the DRC has initiated several reforms as part of improving the business climate

Call launched this Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the DRC-Japan business forum which brought together the heads of more than 120 Japanese companies, 7 members of the Government in particular that of Foreign Trade, Industry and Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, Hydraulic Resources and Electricity, Mines, Culture, Arts and Heritage, Communication and Media and International Cooperation and Francophonie who sold the opportunities well that their respective sectors offer and the heads of state and non-state structures who presented some bankable projects, on the sidelines of Expo 2025 Osaka.

On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya encouraged Japanese investors to come and do business in the DRC which constitutes a market of 100 million consumers and which has won the American market with AGOA but also the Chinese, European and United Kingdom markets; cooperation agreements which allow the export of its products without payment of customs duties, he added while welcoming
the signing of the memorandum of understanding between Kerith Ressources Sarel and Asia Mineral Limited on the local processing of manganese in the province of Kongo central with a production capacity of 2 million tonnes per year, and this, during the special press briefing co-hosted just afterwards with his colleague from Communication and Media, Patrick Muyaya

a good harvest achieved, because Japanese investors have reassured the Prime Minister and the members of her Government that they will now come and invest in the DRC and the managers of JICA, JETRO and JOGMEC have made a commitment to encourage them further.
