PARTICIPATION OF MINISTER JULIEN PALUKU KAHONGYA AT THE 9TH UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE ON TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT- UNCCD FOCUSING ON COMPETITION AND CONSUMER PROTECTION + THE STRATEGIC MEETING WITH THE DEPUTY SECRETARY-GENERAL OF THE UNCCD IN GENEVA, SWITZERLAND.
On the sidelines of the 9th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development - UNCCD focused on competition and consumer protection which is being held in Geneva, Switzerland, the Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya consolidates economic and commercial diplomacy with strategic meetings for the promotion of the trade sector of the Democratic Republic of Congo on the international level.
Julien Paluku Kahongya has just won the support of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development-
UNCCD regarding the promotion of electronic commerce, capacity building and the search for financial and technical partners to promote the trade sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo
Information provided by Pedro Manuel Moreno, Deputy Secretary General of the UNCCD after the lobbying carried out by the DRC during a strategic meeting with the Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya accompanied by the Ambassador of the Permanent Mission of the DRC to the United Nations, Paul Empole Lokoso Efambe and experts including the Secretary General of Foreign Trade, Jules Mwilu Mboo.
The Minister of Foreign Trade welcomes this commitment of the UNCCD and the promulgation of the legislative orders ratifying the agreement on the facilitation of trade of the World Trade Organization-WTO and on fishing subsidies.
Note that a joint DRC-UNCCD commission was set up to develop a road map to begin the realization of these firm promises of this permanent organization of the United Nations General Assembly which deals with issues of trade, investment and development.
