THE 47TH FAIR EDITION AT THE CONGO INTERNATIONAL FAIR KINSHASA-FICKIN LAUNCHED THIS SATURDAY AUGUST 2, 2025 BY MINISTER JULIEN PALUKU KAHONGYA
Placed under the theme "Fair of peace and national unity for the stability of trade", the 47th fairground edition of the Congo-Kinshasa International Fair was launched this Saturday, August 2, 2025 by the Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya in the presence of officials, Congolese and foreign economic operators in total enthusiasm.
Exhibition and commercial stands, amusement parks, restaurants for the promotion of Congolese gastronomy were visited by the Minister accompanied by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of FICKIN, Kennedy Katasi and the Director General, Didier Kabampele as well as guests.
The Minister of Foreign Trade sets a deadline of 36 months to modernize FICKIN, the construction work of the various infrastructures including amusement parks, exhibition and marketing sites and a 5-star hotel will be launched in a short time by the Chinese company Autre Hunan International Engineering and Development Corporation including its Chairman of the Board of Directors,

The modernization of FICKIN aims to realize the vision of the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi, that of making Kinshasa a global crossroads with regard to fairs and exhibitions, said Julien Paluku Kahongya while calling on operators to approach the General Management of FICKIN to subscribe, he insisted.
Note that to regulate all fairground activities across the country, the technical work of the fairground bill has already been completed at the level of experts from the Ministry of Commerce.
