TECHNICAL MEETING ON THE OPERATIONALIZATION OF THE ONE-STOP BORDER POST OF MAHAGI IN ITURI WITH EXPERTS FROM THE DIFFERENT SERVICES AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEPARTMENT WITHIN THE COMPLETE SINGLE WINDOW FOR FOREIGN TRADE-SEGUICE/DRC PRESENTED TO MINISTER JULIEN PALUKU KAHONGYA
Acceleration of the effective operationalization of the one-stop Mahagi border post in Ituri province on the border with Uganda,
experts from sectoral ministries and various technical services including the General Directorate of Customs and Excise-DGDA, the Congolese Control Office-OCC, the General Directorate of Migration-DGM,
the Animal and Plant Quarantine Service-SQAV and the Animal and Fisheries Quarantine Service-SQAH as well as those of TRADE MARK AFRICA ruled this Wednesday, October 1, 2025 in Kinshasa on the formalization of the integrated management committee, the joint integrated management committee between the DRC and Uganda and the provincial committee at the level of this one-stop post of Mahagi but also on the exchange of customs information and immigration by these two neighboring countries.
Thanks to funding from its donors including the European Union, TRADE MARK AFRICA has built and equipped this infrastructure which facilitates international trade with its warehouses, parking, booths, IT and solar equipment and scanners for luggage and people;
now with the support of the East African Community-EAC, capacity building workshops for service personnel working at the border level and economic operators will be launched, said Manassé Assama, Program Manager, Trade Facilitation at TRADEMARK AFRICA/DRC
For Benezeth Msafiri Kyakakala, Chief of Staff of the Minister of Foreign Trade who co-chaired this meeting with the Secretary General for Foreign Trade, Jules Muilu Mbo, this one-stop cross-border post will make it possible to effectively combat the plethora at the border and reduce the customs clearance time for goods as well as the cost of logistics.

This reform will now facilitate the Congolese State to have real statistics on import, export and transit operations but also on the number of licenses in use, expiring and being processed, objective, increase the mobilization of public revenue declared the Director of SEGUCE-RDC
