THE SUPPORT OF THE INTERNATIONAL TRADE CENTER-CCI FOR THE PROMOTION OF DIGITAL TRADE AND THE SIMPLIFIED COMMERCIAL REGIME-RECOS, BUT ALSO IN THE CONSOLIDATION OF THE DEMATERIALIZATION OF THE COMPLETE SINGLE WINDOW FOR FOREIGN TRADE-SEGUCE-DRC, AT THE CENTER OF A TECHNICAL MEETING THIS THURSDAY 2 OCTOBER 2025 IN KINSHASA WITH THE ICC DELEGATION

The Democratic Republic of Congo will now benefit from support from the International Trade Center-CCI based in Geneva to promote digital trade, the Simplified Commercial Regime-RECOS which grants several facilities to small cross-border traders and populations living along the borders, but also the consolidation of the dematerialization of the Comprehensive Single Window for Foreign Trade-SEGUCE/DRC to improve the transparency and traceability of import and export operations and transit.

This is one of the results of the technical meeting this Thursday in Kinshasa between the Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya and the delegation of the International Trade Center-CCI,
headed by Venessa Erogbogbo, Director of the Sustainable and Inclusive Trade Division; therefore the fruit of the meeting last May in Switzerland between the Minister of Foreign Trade and the Executive Director of the CCI, Pamela Coke-Hamilton.

Also the ITC which helps companies to maximize their export development potential and improve their import operations within the framework of the World Trade Organization-WTO agreements
will support the organization in Kinshasa in the months following the Forum on the development of value chains in the mining sector with emphasis on the major project of the electric battery industry piloted by the Congolese Battery Council-CCB and in the agricultural sector, said Vanessa Erogbogbo

A mixed team of experts was set up to develop a roadmap, objective, accelerate the materialization of these promises

Note that the Minister of Foreign Trade was surrounded by his experts including Jules Muilu Mbo, Secretary General of Foreign Trade and Benezeth Msafiri Kyakakala, his Chief of Staff.
