DESCENT OF MINISTER JULIEN PALUKU KAHONGYA AT THE GENERAL SECRETARIAT FOR FOREIGN TRADE

To absorb the challenges that the Government will tackle to make the Foreign Trade sector the lever of economic growth of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is the objective of the visit of the Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya this Thursday to the General Secretariat of his ministry.

Very applauded on his arrival by the agents and executives who now call him the solution man, the Minister of Foreign Trade visited the 12 directorates which make up the General Secretariat for Foreign Trade, it was an opportunity for him to feel the various difficulties encountered by the agents and executives including the lack of automobile transport for the staff,
the insufficiency of premises and the absence of pay for the 4,000 agents out of the total of 11,000 in this administration

The General Secretariat constitutes the brain of the Minister to set up public policies to make Congolese products competitive on the international market while respecting the standards, which involves providing the Congolese Office of Control-OCC with certified ultramodern laboratories, identifying markets for Congolese products and integrating the ASYCUDA system, but assigning commercial attachés to the level of the DRC embassies and allowing the country to benefit from the advantages offered by different agreements already signed, said Minister Julien Paluku during the meeting with the agents.
For the Secretary General for Foreign Trade, Jules Muilu Mbo, this visit by the Minister has just motivated the agents and thus given the go to the strengthening of the marriage between the cabinet and the administration.
The next step is the visit to public establishments and services under supervision.
