MINISTRY OF FOREIGN TRADE: OPERATIONALIZATION OF THE PRESIDENTIAL “STAND UP YOUNG CONGOLESE” PROGRAM: CONTRIBUTION OF THE EXPERTISE OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN TRADE AT THE CENTER OF A MINISTERIAL MEETING THIS THURSDAY IN KINSHASA
Operationalization of the presidential program called “Débout Jeunes Congolais”, one of the key recommendations of the round table on employment and entrepreneurship convened and chaired in November 2025 by the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi Tshilombo;
the Minister of State, Minister of Vocational Training, Marc Ekila Likombo, the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, Justin Kalumba Mwana Ngongo, the Minister of Gender, Family and Children, Micheline Ombae Kalama and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Social Affairs in charge of People Living with Disabilities, Irène Esambo Diata were this Thursday, February 26 2026 to the office of the Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya for the contribution of his expertise and pragmatism in the materialization of various projects and reforms in the DRC.
The presidential program "Débout Jeunes Congolais" with a budget estimated at 1.3 billion US dollars over 6 years, is based on 3 main complementary axes including professional training, intended to strengthen the skills and qualifications of the workforce, work, employment and equal opportunities, in order to guarantee fair access to professional opportunities, but also, entrepreneurship, oriented towards the development of businesses capable of generating sustainable jobs, indicated the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Development of Small and Medium Enterprises at the end of this meeting focused on the consolidation of government synergy.
In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Trade welcomed this initiative to bring together the expertise of different members of the Government to achieve this ambitious program.
