PARTICIPATION OF MINISTER JULIEN PALUKU KAHONGYA IN THE MAJOR MEETING ON THE RENEWAL OF AGOA IN WASHINGTON IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Leading a real commercial and economic diplomacy in the United States of America, the Congolese Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya was received this Tuesday at the American Congress in Washington where he pleaded with national senators and deputies for the renewal of AGOA which allows eligible Sub-Saharan African countries to export most of their products to the United States of America without customs duties
During the panel organized by the network of African civil societies in collaboration with Démocracy Foundation for Africa which brought together American parliamentarians and investors, the Minister of Foreign Trade detailed the OGOA-DRC strategy with its 26 products including 21 non-mining and 5 mining while pleading for the renewal of AGOA which must contribute to the growth of African economies and economic integration but also to the stability of the continent.
With support from Congolese civil society, the Minister of Foreign Trade is leading diplomacy to secure the organization of the AGOA 2025 forum in Kinshasa, as desired by the Prime Minister, Judith Suminwa Tuluka.
