MINISTRY OF TRADE: TECHNICAL MEETING WITH EXPERTS OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN TRADE ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A TEAM TO DEVELOP THE ROAD MAP TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE PRESENCE OF THE DRC WITHIN THE AUDA-NEPAD STEERING COMMITTEE
Immediately designated by the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, as his Personal Representative within the Steering Committee of the African Union Development Agency-New Partnership for Africa's Development- AUDA-NEPAD, which has the mission of realizing the vision of African Heads of State for Agenda 2063, which marks 100 years existence of the African Union, formerly the Organization of African Unity; The Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya, chaired this Monday, May 25, 2026 in Kinshasa a technical meeting with experts from his Ministry, devoted to the establishment of a team which will develop the roadmap to take advantage of its 2-year mandate within this technical agency.
AUDA-NEPAD pursues 3 main objectives in particular:
-promote accelerated growth and sustainable development,
-eradicate widespread and extreme poverty,
-end marginalization in the process of globalization.
This Union Agency focuses on 6 priorities, namely:
-fill the infrastructure gap,
-train human resources,
-develop a strong and sustainable agricultural sector
-ensure the safeguarding and defense of the environment
-spread and promote culture
-develop science and technology.
