MINISTRY OF FOREIGN TRADE MINISTERIAL MEETING ON THE ACCELERATION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AGENDA 2063 OF THE AFRICAN UNION: THE DRC THROUGH ITS MINISTER OF FOREIGN TRADE, JULIEN PALUKU KAHONGYA ADVOCATES FOR THE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF COUNTRIES AND THE MOBILIZATION OF FINANCING FOR WIN THIS BET

Acceleration of the implementation of Agenda 2063 of the African Union, which is the Strategic Master Plan to transform Africa into a global power with emphasis on inclusive socio-economic development, continental integration with the promotion of intra-African trade, peace and good governance, the ministerial meeting held this Thursday, June 18 by videoconference insisted on execution, accountability and results, but also, mobilization of financing innovative solutions to win this bet by 2063.
For the Democratic Republic of Congo, the effective implementation of Agenda 2063 of the African Union requires the active participation of African countries and the mobilization of innovative partnerships to finance several integrative projects including the great Inga to boost the industrialization of the continent, the development of 80 million hectares of arable land in the DRC to feed the African people and the forests of the Congo Basin which regulate the global climate, the development of regional value chains the turn of the battery and electric vehicle industry, indicated Julien Paluku Kahongya, Minister of Foreign Trade and Personal Representative of the Head of State to the African Union Development Agency-New Partnership for Africa's Development-AUDA-NEPAD.

Shortly, the National Office of Agenda 2063 of the African Union and a sub-office of AUDA-NEPAD will be opened in Kinshasa, on the instructions of the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi Tshilombo, announced the Minister of Foreign Trade

Note that during this ministerial meeting chaired by the South African Minister of Foreign Affairs and in charge of the implementation of AU Agenda 2063 Ronald Lamola, the significant progress made was welcomed by the member countries, called to participate actively to face the challenges of development, security and the improvement of the conditions of African citizens, to thus win the challenge of Agenda 2063.
