MINISTRY OF FOREIGN TRADE THE BOOK ENTITLED “THE LOBITO CORRIDOR IN THE RECOMPOSITION OF FLOWS: STRATEGIC ISSUES FOR THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO AND THE CONGOLESE CONTROL OFFICE” BY THE AUTHOR GABY LUBIBA MAMPUYA, BROUGHT TO THE BAPTISM FONT IN KINSHASA, UNDER THE HIGH PATRONAGE OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN TRADE, JULIEN PALUKU KAHONGYA

It is a newcomer in the literary world, the work entitled "The Lobito corridor in the recomposition of flows: Strategic issues for the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Congolese Control Office" by the author Gaby Lubiba Mampuya carried on building fonts this Friday, August 7, 2026 in Kinshasa, under the high patronage of the Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya, and this, in the presence of several personalities including members of Government, diplomats, university professors, researchers, students and experts in international trade.

By naming this book, the Minister of Foreign Trade threw flowers to the author, because this work places the Lobito corridor at the heart of the economic challenges of the DRC and calls on the Government to further strengthen the capacities of the laboratories of the Congolese Control Office-OCC

In his intervention, the author made it clear that his work demonstrates how the Lobito corridor will profoundly reconfigure the trade flows of the DRC, more particularly the exports of mining products in the eastern part of the country, with the contribution of the National Network of Laboratories - RENAL, led by the Congolese Control Office - OCC, to thus ensure the control and security of flows, guarantee conformity and quality, promote the products exchanged, strengthen the credibility of the system vis-à-vis commercial partners, and this, through the recognition of certificates.

Critically reading this book, Professor Youyou Baende praised the high scientific quality of this work which evokes the mapping of the volumes controlled by the OCC, as an instrument of confidence and economic sovereignty of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Note that Gaby Lubiba Mampuya is an expert in International Trade, Inspection, Standardization and testing in the technical committees of the African Organization for Standardization - ARSO and the International Organization for Standardization - ISO.
