From September 18 to 19, 2026, the two parties examined the need to consolidate cooperation between the public services of the Democratic Republic of Congo based in Tanzania including the General Directorate of Customs and Excise-DGDA, the Multimodal Freight Management Office and the Center for Expertise, Evaluation and Certification-CEEC and Tanzanian customs, but also, to mutually benefit from the Port of Dar es Salaam where exports pass Congolese mining companies, and this, with the implementation of measures to reduce the costs and delays of procedures for importing and expiring of goods as well as other obstacles
