INAUGURATION THIS SATURDAY OF PEPSI-DRC BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, FÉLIX TSHISEKEDI

More than 20 years later, President Félix Tshisekedi resurrected Pepsi in the DRC, the fruit of commercial and economic diplomacy led by Julien Paluku Kahongya, then Minister of Industry.

Today, at the head of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, he recently signed a series of orders prohibiting the temporary importation of certain products including beers and soft drinks with the aim of safeguarding local industries and the jobs they create.

A SHORT STORY ABOUT THE PEPSI INSTALLATION IN THE DRC

Representing President Félix Tshisekedi Harare in Zimbabwe in October 2021 at the inauguration of the 2nd VARUN BEVERAGE/PEPSI factory, the Honorary Minister of Industry, Julien Paluku Kahongya had the special mission of bringing PEPSI back to the DRC.
On site, Julien Paluku Kahongya had seduced the managers of Pepsi Africa in front of the Zimbabwean President to come and settle in the pilot Special Economic Zone of Maluku and thus benefit from the tax, parafiscal and customs advantages offered by the Special Economic Zones regime in the DRC; pragmatic management praised today by an entire country.

On a working mission to China, the Minister of Foreign Trade greets
the inauguration of the PEPSI factories in Maluku by the President of the Republic Félix-Antoine TSHISEKEDI, a gigantic project which is dear to him and which brings back to the DRC one of the multinationals of American origin.

A brand created in 1893 in New Bern in the USA by CALEB BRADHAN is now produced in Kinshasa with wealth and thousands of jobs created.

For Julien Paluku Kahongya, when we want, we can, if all conditions remain equal, and this by insisting on
“TO START, YOU HAVE TO START”.
