CHINA-AFRICA COOPERATION FORUM IN BEIJING
China has just released 50 billion US dollars for Africa for the implementation of 10 actions for the next 3 years, from 2024 to 2027, including 29 billion US dollars in credit lines, 11 billion in aid and 10 billion in investment from Chinese companies present in Africa.
Chinese President Xi Jinping made these 10 major announcements at the opening of the China-Africa summit in Beijing, notably the prosperity of Trade with the 100% exemption from taxes for African products with the aim of making the Chinese market an opportunity for shared growth, the training in China of 1,000 African political figures on governance, cooperation on the development of value chains with the creation of a China-Africa industrial pilot zone, the execution of 30 infrastructure projects in Africa to boost interconnection, the execution of 1,000 projects as part of development cooperation, the creation of a China-Africa hospital alliance with 20 medical infrastructure projects in the health sector, the execution of 500 projects with industrial added value in the field of agriculture, the training of 60,000 African young people and women with the creation of the cultural silk road and the execution of 30 energy projects clean, nuclear and remote sensing technology but also military aid to Africa without compensation of 140 million US dollars.
Without China and Africa, which represents 1/3 of the world's population, there is no global modernization, concluded President Xi Jinping.
Very proud of this beautiful harvest achieved by African leaders in Beijing, the Congolese Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya, said that the 2.8 billion Chinese and Africans must now write new brilliant pages in the history of humanity and added that the DRC under the leadership of President Félix Tshisekedi who is consolidating contacts in the Chinese capital is more than determined to be part of the African countries which will benefit from these major projects.
