THÈRESE KAYIKWAMBA VAGNER, GREGOIRE MUTSHAIL MUTOMB AND JULIEN PALUKU KAHONGYA REPRESENTED THIS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11, 2025, THE DRC AT THE MINISTERIAL MEETING OF COORDINATORS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MONITORING ACTIONS CHINA-AFRICA ECONOMIC FORUM HELD AT CHANGSHA
This is a great harvest achieved this Wednesday, June 11, 205 in Changsha in the province of Hunan by the Democratic Republic of Congo at the ministerial meeting of coordinators for the implementation of the 10 actions for a sum of 50 billion US dollars in favor of African countries announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping during the China-Africa Economic Forum held last September in Beijing.
Thérèse Kayikwamba Vagner, Grégoire Mutshail Mutomb and Julien Paluku Kahongya, respectively Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Foreign Trade,
secured responsibility for granting visas to Congolese economic operators and the
signing of contracts on agricultural development starting from the production chain, agronomic research, processing and marketing; but also the 100% exemption of agricultural products from the DRC
training on farming methods, standards, conformity and certification of products provided by specialized services including the Congolese Office of Control-OCC and the National Office of Agricultural Products of Congo-ONAPAC which will benefit from technical support.
This government delegation also obtained the evaluation of the framework cooperation agreement signed on September 6, 2024 in Beijing on the export of Congolese products to China without payment of customs duties.
On this same occasion, the DRC presented new opportunities in the exploitation of iron in Banalia in the province of Tshopo for heavy industry whose deposits are 4 times larger than those of Guinea Conakry.
