OPENING THIS THURSDAY, JUNE 12, 2025, OF THE 4TH EDITION OF THE SINO-AFRICAN ECONOMIC AND COMMERCIAL EXHIBITION IN CHANGSHA, CHINA
At the opening this Thursday, June 12, 2024 in Changsha, capital of Hunan province in China, of the 4th edition of the Sino-African economic and commercial exhibition, the 47 Congolese products exhibited by exporters and entrepreneurs in the pavilion of the Democratic Republic of Congo including coffee, cocoa, chocolate, pepper, sesame, soy, cassava,
Palm oil and some mining products attract thousands of pilgrims to this native province of Mao Zedong.
Thérèse Kayikwamba Vagner, Grégoire Mutshail Mutomb and Julien Paluku Kahongya, respectively Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Foreign Trade visited this Congolese pavilion where they exchanged and encouraged exporters and entrepreneurs who promote products made in Congo at this economic and commercial exhibition between China and African countries.
On this occasion the Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya called on economic operators to seize the Chinese market with more or less 1.41 billion consumers, because the Congolese Government has secured the export of Congolese products to China without payment of customs duties
Just after, the Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture and that of Foreign Trade were received by the authorities of the Chinese province of Guangxi, neighboring Hunan, on site these members of the Government Judith Suminwa dispatched by the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi secured a series of partnerships in the field of Foreign Trade, agriculture, health and professional training.
Thanks to this commercial and economic diplomacy, this Chinese province is committed to supporting the modernization of the Office Congolais de Controle-OCC and the National Office of Agricultural Products of Congo-ONAPAC for the certification of Congolese products within the framework of compliance with standards and to contributing its agricultural technology to boost
agriculture in the DRC, starting with the greater Kasaï area with the opening of its office in Kinshasa in the following days;
but also help to facilitate the granting of visas for Congolese economic operators and increase the number of scholarships in technical fields for the benefit of Congolese students.
Côté, DRC, a commercial attaché will be appointed shortly to consolidate this cooperation, hence a joint commission composed of experts from both parties was set up to develop the timetable of activities, which rejoiced Grégoire Mutshail Mutomb, Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture
