SYMPOSIUM ON OPPORTUNITIES IN THE DRC ON THE SIDE OF THE 4TH EDITION OF THE SINO-AFRICAN ECONOMIC AND TRADE EXHIBITION IN CHANGSHA, CHINA
This Saturday, June 14, 2025, in front of more than 150 Chinese business leaders on the sidelines of the 4th edition of the Sino-African economic and commercial exhibition in Changsha, China, Grégoire Mutshail Mutomb and Julien Paluku Kahongya, respectively Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Commerce, well sold the opportunities offered by the Democratic Republic of Congo in different sectors, during the symposium on the promotion of foreign investments in the DRC called "DRC, win-win dynamic in the new era" organized by the Embassy of the DRC in China in collaboration with major Chinese companies including Shanghai Greenrood International Logistics, Global Silk Rood, Hub Port International Supply, Hunan Sino - Afica Silk Rood International China- Africa Business and China Molybden Company-CMOC
This conference focused on strengthening economic and commercial cooperation between the DRC and China enabled the mobilization of Chinese investors, said the Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya, while welcoming the firm commitment of the CEOs of these companies to come and do business in the DRC.
The Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture, Grégoire Mutshail Mutomb insisted on the contribution of Chinese expertise to promote the agricultural sector in the DRC which has 80 million hectares of arable land
The Chinese Government, through the Vice-Governor of Hunan, Cao Zhiqiang, reassured the Congolese Government of the increase in Chinese investments in the DRC and the increase in the volume of trade.
