Reappointed as head of the Ministry of Foreign Trade within the Suminwa II Government, Minister Julien Paluku Kahongya immediately returned to the country after a major South American tour, and this, as part of the warming of south-south economic and commercial cooperation, benefited this Thursday, August 14, 2025 from a surprise welcome from the members of his working cabinet who presented their thanks to the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi Tshilombo and to the Prime Minister, Judith Suminwa Tuluka for the trust placed in her person.
For Beneseth MsafiriKyakakala, Director of Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Trade, this renewal is part of the aim of further consolidating the achievements including the protection of local industry against duping, the implementation of the Simplified Commercial Regime-RECOS which grants several facilities to small cross-border traders in accordance with the interministerial order Foreign Trade-Finance which sets the amount of 50 US dollars per trader per day, the construction of infrastructure to facilitate cross-border trade through the Trade Facilitation and Integration Project in the Great Lakes Region-PFCIGL financed by the World Bank including one-stop posts, cross-border markets and ports, but also the economic and commercial diplomacy of the DRC and the modernization of the Coongo-Kinshasa International Fair-
