MINISTER JULIEN PALUKU KAHONGYA SATISFIED WITH THE REPORT OF THE COMMISSION SET UP TO FIND A SOLUTION TO THE SOCIAL UNEASE WHICH SHOCKED THE CONGOLESE CONTROL OFFICE-OCC
The grades of 4,180 agents and executives of the Congolese Control Office-OCC who had already spent 5 years and more are now regularized, strict compliance with article 84 of the collective agreement of this public establishment which stipulates, will not be able to access a grade, the agent who has completed 5 years and an executive who has completed 6 years, hence all agents and executives who have spent 5 years or more must have their grades before May 1 2025 and which must be displayed at the OCC.
But also all executives and agents benefiting from the 2018 grades must be notified and within 3 months the Board of Directors and General Management have the mission of digitalizing the OCC to allow the construction of certified ultra-modern laboratories, because the manual collection of taxes encourages embezzlement.
These measures emerge from the report of the commission set up by the Minister of Foreign Trade to examine the problems happening at the OCC, report submitted this Monday in Kinshasa to Minister Julien Paluku Kahongya satisfied with the work accomplished by the delegates of the Board of Directors, the General Management and the syncalists who made up the said commission which worked for 14 days.
From now on each agent and executive of the OCC must have a rating sheet, because the granting of grades must not be based solely on seniority added the Minister of Foreign Trade expected on May 2 at the General Directorate of the Congolese Control Office-OCC where he will have an important communication to the agents and executives of this public establishment whose mission is to carry out quality, quantity and conformity controls of all that enters and leaves the DRC
